We offer opportunities for competitive racing (many top 5 finishes last summer) as well as adventure sailing in Optimists, Fevas, 420s, and Lasers. Our goal is to instill in our sailors a desire to pursue sailing opportunities throughout LIS and beyond by introducing them to all aspects of sailing from fun adventure sails to serious racing. All instructors teach Optimists in the morning and Racing Optimists, Fevas, 420s, or Lasers in the afternoon.

Our Head Instructor will report to the Jr Sailing Chair and Fleet Captain. Head Instructor must be highly self-motivated, organized, extremely safety-conscious, and have good communication skills.

Responsibilities include
*Insuring safety of all sailors and instructors both on and off the water
