The Harraseeket Yacht Club is looking for enthusiastic and experienced 420 and Opti Race Coaches to join us for the 2019 season! HYC is a 250 member volunteer organization located on the Harraseeket River near the head of Casco Bay in Maine. The club's primary purpose is to encourage and promote the sport of boating and the science of seamanship and navigation, particularly through programs of instruction for young people.

The 420 and Optimist race team coaches are full-time positions during program and report to the Sailing Director.
Job responsibilities include: coaching the team on a daily basis, communicating with the Sailing Director, host clubs and parents to organize travel, traveling with and chaperoning the teams to local and regional regattas, helping students to progress in the 420 and Optimist, and working with the Sailing Director to build the 420 and Opti race programs and ensure their success. We are looking for candidates who can challenge our race teams and program. The coaches must be able to evaluate sailors and design daily lesson plans to help sailors reach their potential.
