Job Description
WDYC is seeking an experienced senior instructor to fill the role of the 420 Head Coach. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an enthusiasm and knowledge of sailing that will enable them to be effective motivators and teachers of kids from ages 5-18 across a range of skill levels.

Employment includes boat set up for the week of June 17th- 28th 2019, along with mandatory orientation on Saturday, June 29th 2019. The season is from June 24th, 2019- August 16th 2018 with boat put away following.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with sailors, coaches, and parents. They will also have strong background in racing with 2-3 years experience as a sailing instructor. US Sailing Level 1 Certification (at minimum) is required.

The West Dennis Yacht Club was officially opened on July 18, 1959 with a ceremony attended by families of the charter members, several town officials, local builders and developers. The WDYC Sailing School began during the first summer of the Club’s existence. It has evolved into an outstanding program, teaching junior sailors from ages 5 to 18yrs in recreational and racing skills.
