Job Description
Dana Point Yacht Club Youth Sailing is accepting resumes for a full time - year round - Assistant coach / Lead instructor position. DPYC has a rapidly growing and changing sailing program with access to CFJs, C420s, RS Teras, 29ers, Lasers, Olson 30s, and of course Boston Whalers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and flexible Coach who wants to leave their mark and who can thoroughly challenge our High School, Recreational, Offshore, and Club racers. The assistant coach will work closely with the Director/Head Coach in all elements of coaching and managing the different racing programs, as well as helping in the preparation of future programming.

In addition to coaching, responsibilities include aspects of: Fleet and Facility maintenance, administrative work, fundraising and event organization, promotion, regatta management, and any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Sailing Instructor Certification
- CPR Certification
- California State Boaters Safety card or NASBLA equivalent
- Extensive High school or College Racing experience & knowledge (C420 and skiff experience preferred)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Motivation and Energy to sail, coach, and work long days in a rewarding and flexible environment.
