This is a 7-month, part-time, varied hours, position that assists the Head Sailing Coach, with practices, and regattas, traveling with the women’s or coed team to designated regattas/races throughout the year. Position will work approximately 20-30 hours per week during the collegiate sailing season (approximately: September through November; mid-February through early-June).
-US Sailing Level I Certification, Level 2 Certification preferred.
-1-2 years of prior coaching experience, preferred.
-Substantial dinghy racing experience, preferred.
-Previous coaching experience in dinghies, preferred.
-Experience and strong knowledge base in Collegiate style fleet racing and team racing, preferred.
-Strong leadership, teaching, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills needed.
-Proof of CPR certification or completion of certification prior to beginning employment.
-The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background and DMV checks satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
