You will plan and run practices as well as assist the morning sessions as needed. You should be able to learn how to interact with each sailor on the team and have a steady communication with the parents. You should be able to help coordinate regatta travel and regatta needs via email. There may be varying skills and abilities in the class and you should be able to make the class fun for all sailors involved.
You should have a complete knowledge of the C420 class and have sailed the boat in Junior sailing. You should have a minimum of a level 1 (Level 2 preferred), a MD Boaters License, and First Aid/CPR Certifications. The course is about 9 weeks total (8 weeks of sailing) with some travel. Housing will be offered to those out of state applicants. Pay is competitive and there are opportunities for raises based off your commitment to SSA long term.
