Job Description
The St. Petersburg Sailing Center is one of the most active waterfront facilities in the country. We offer community sailing programs, summer camps, youth racing teams, and are the host facility to numerous regional and national regattas each year. We rely heavily on our maintenance team to ensure the resources used during those programs are kept in good working order and are readily available, when needed.

Primarily based at the Sailing Center, the Fleet Maintenance Manager is a salaried management position that works under the direct supervision of the club's Waterfront Director and is responsible for the following;

a.) Maintaining a fleet of over 90+ actively used sail and power boats. This includes launching/hauling, rigging, repairs, etc.
b.) Maintaining the operational condition and cleanliness of the Sailing Center facility and grounds.
c.) Overseeing various programs & activities to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Job Requirements
Perform related duties assigned or as the situation dictates
Manage Sailing Center maintenance staff (Hiring, Firing, Disciplinary Action, Annual Reviews)
Ensure maintenance programs adhere to defined budgets
Maintain and repair club-owned waterfront apparatus, including fleets of sailboats and powerboats.
Launch/Haul vessels on a daily/weekly basis as needed for programs
Develop/maintain equipment repair logs and replacement schedules
Ensures the cleanliness and safety of the facility and grounds
Ensures all members and guests act responsibly and in a safe manner, enforcing all company rules and policies
Monitors and/or manages ongoing activities at the Sailing Center
Responsible for qualifying members to use various fleets of boats
Attend all management training courses, as directed by Waterfront Director
Assist other departments as necessary
Refine processes to increase efficiency
