Our club has a new fleet of Melges 24s and J/80s - the only fleet of its kind in New York Harbor. The boats are located on easily accessible finger docks in New York’s newest marina situated next to New York Harbor. Coaches are supported by top-rated teaching materials and equipment with classroom and post sailing activities held on our newly acquired double decker floating sailing center. The Sail Club is part of a larger waterfront project in Brooklyn that includes marina operations, the Ebb & Flow bakery, Estuary restaurant, and community outreach programs.

We are developing the sailing community in Brooklyn and looking for the best new team members. BSC is seeking dynamic sailing coaches to primarily assist with its sailing school program, member development, and club racing programs. Come be part of this great movement and help folks learn to sail and to sail better!

The most desirable applicants will have a background in hospitality as well as education. In addition to teaching our US Sailing Basic Keelboat curriculum on the weekends, our coaches will also help develop and execute other adult sailing/racing programs, corporate events, community outreach programs, and new teen sailing programs during the week.

As a Sailing Coach with BSC, the individual will also support the Director of Sailing Operations to cover all aspects of the sail club business, including member recruitment and training, fleet maintenance, and commissioning & decommissioning. Other activities include including marketing, designing curriculum, instructor education and designing performance indicators.

If you think you can help develop the Brooklyn sailing community and the best Sail Club in New York send us an application. We have positions for full time and part-time seasonal applications (April to October). We can provide seasonal accommodation in the New York area for the right individual.
