Job Description
We are looking for a temporary advanced sailing coach available mid-September to 10 December 2018) to lead and train our team of instructors and junior instructors for our after school sailing program and oversee scheduled sailing events. The position is ideal for someone who loves coaching, is a self-starter with a positive attitude, is able to motivate others and is a fantastic teacher of sailing. The ideal candidate needs to have advanced sailing skills with a high degree of both racing strategy and be familiar with One Design boats (primarily Optimists, Laser and Flying Junior). The position pays $400USD tax free per week (approx. 30 hrs per week), includes private two-bedroom apartment with expenses covered and car. Job Requirements
• Manage, train and oversee instructors and junior instructors, foster open communication and teamwork
• Track participant progress and ensure sailors stay motivated, safe and have fun
• Oversee management of boat fleet and equipment, coordinate repairs etc.
• Maintain safety standards
• Oversee management and coordination of sailing events as required
