Job Description
Dreaming of a warm climate and a relaxed environment, doing something you love? We are looking for a Sailing Club Director/Head Coach to assist with the growth and management of our Sailing Club and School in Freeport Bahamas. The position is ideal for someone who loves coaching and sailing, is a self starter with a positive attitude, is able to motivate others and follows through with their ideas. The ideal candidate should have advanced sailing skills with a high degree of both racing strategy and be familiar with One Design boats (primarily Optimists, Laser and Flying Junior). The position pays $500USD tax free per week plus 50% of proceeds received from private sailing lessons, includes private two-bedroom apartment and car. Job Requirements
• Act as liaison and main communicator with participants, parents etc.
• Manage, train and oversee instructors and junior instructors, foster open communication and teamwork
• Create and update sailing programs for adults and youth
• Track participant progress and ensure sailors stay motivated, safe and have fun
• Oversee management of boat fleet and equipment, coordinate repairs etc.
• Maintain safety standards
• Oversee management of Social Media sites to promote club and events
• Oversee management and coordination of sailing events as required
