Situated in South Shore, along the southern shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago, Jackson Park Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Chicago. Founded in 1896, shortly after the Chicago World's Fair of 1893, the club was built in the outer harbor across from the old U.S. Coast Guard Station. Primarily, a habor for sailboats, there are powerboats that are harbored here as well.
