Job Description
Commanders' Weather is currently seeking a full-time operational Marine Meteorologist to work with our team.
We will train you to prepare weather routing and race forecasts. Commanders’ Weather works directly with our clients through written forecasts, email discussions and verbal consultations.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in meteorology is required, some weather forecasting experience is helpful and a sailing background is preferable. We offer a competitive salary, health and dental coverage along with 401K matching. There will be opportunities for domestic and worldwide travel.

Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or higher in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a related field
- A background in sailing is preferable

Desired Qualities:
- Various levels of work experience encouraged to apply
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic learner, attention to detail
- Ability to work well in both a team environment and individually

Daily Job Functions:
- Prepare written and verbal weather routing forecasts for cruising sailing and motor yachts worldwide
- Prepare written and verbal weather forecasts, and routing when applicable, for daytime and long distance sailing races (regattas) around the world
- Monitor emails during shifts, and answer and respond to all client requests via phone and email
