The Greenwich Bay Sailing Association is seeking to hire sailing instructors to teach intermediate sailors in optimists and 420s. These classes are designed for students who have learned the basics of sailing and are beginning to specialize in each boat as well as learn how to race.
We are a non-profit sailing center connected with the East Greenwich Yacht Club. We are located in central Narragansett Bay and compete in NBYA.
The program length is 8 weeks and there is a setup week before the program and another 2-3 days at the end to break everything down. Staff hours are 830-430. Compensation is salary/experience based, but there are lots of opportunities to earn extra, through private lessons and other avenues.
Our club has a wonderful community and culture -- our families are supportive and collaborative and often volunteer to help out the program. Parents are a help, not a hindrance, at our club. GBSA is a stand out club on the bay for its sense of friendliness, sportsmanship, and competition.
Out of state candidates may either receive housing stipend or will be accommodated by one of our families.
