Job Description
Outside Sales is a key position on our team that directly supports our quest to grow our business. By working hard and being focused on new opportunities, they will help us significantly expand in North America.

We are looking for a driven, experienced salesperson who communicates passion to customers. They listen effectively, match up product offerings to customer needs and provide rapid responses to inquiries. More than just excellent service, this person should know how to solve customer problems, put our products and services in front of new groups, and build comprehensive sales strategies across numerous customer and product segments.

Core responsibilities:
• Prospect for new customers on a daily basis
• Work to establish long term relationships with administrators, program directors and coaches
• Identify new customer groups (such as government programs, resorts, and others)
• Create new orders and new business that is processed through our existing fulfillment system
• Build a strategic marketing plan that effectively generates prospects across the continent

Marketing and pipeline building:
• Suggest sponsorships for important programs, influences or with our manufacturers
• Create weekly content and marketing material specific to new customer groups
• Attend and oversee trade shows, events and relevant meetings
• Analyze our current products, and seek new and previously unapproached customers for them

Compensation and Benefits:
• Base salary, DOE
• Sales Commissions

Job Requirements:
• Passion and drive to be the best at sales
• Desire to provide excellent service
• Knowledge of sailing, ideally of small boats – and the energy to learn and grow the sport
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – with timely responses, always
• Ability to work extended summer hours (with some corresponding winter hours off)
• Willing to travel 30-40 days a year
