Job Description
Youth Sailing Virginia, INC, a 501(C)3 organization, teaches middle school aged children to Learn To Sail while incorporating the US Sailing REACH curriculum. Join an enthusiastic and committed group this summer for an awesome experience teaching the love of sailing. Our venue in the protected waters of Mill Creek at Historic Fort Monroe, Virginia is second to none for teaching and having fun on the water. YSV is an equal opportunity employer.
Job Requirements
We are seeking instructors who:
Are at Least 18 years old
Are capable small-boat sailors, comfortable in all wind conditions
Have previous instructing experience or sailing in college
Hold a current US Sailing Level 1 Certification or will enroll in upcoming course with financial assistance from YSV
Hold a current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain before the summer
Must hold Virginia Boating Education Certificate or other State's equivalent
Are enthusiastic and have an open attitude toward developing skills as sailors and instructors
Are available for at least 4 weeks between June 12 and August 16, 2019. Work Hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM , Monday -Friday. Please direct all inquires to Gary Bodie via email:
