Job Description
Texas Corinthian Yacht Club is a small and friendly club on Galveston Bay. Our program facilitates sailing for roughly 50 sailors who have completed 1st grade. Most sailors have previously participated in Bait Camp to get comfortable in the water with their parents. We also support adult sailing, with races mostly in Sunfish and Sonars. Our sailors are always improving their sailing skills by exploring different aspects of sailing. We offer windsurfing, Opti, Sunfish, Laser, and 420 classes.

We are looking to fill these three positions.

Sailing Coach- Texas Corinthian Yacht Club is looking for someone who has knowledge and leadership to help advance a group of opti sailors. The opti sailors will also be sailing 420s, Sunfish, and windsurfers. This position needs to be filled by a person who is comfortable taking initiative in repairing boats and running weekly dinghy races. This is a full- time salaried position.

Learn to Sail Instructor- We are looking for someone to lead a robust Learn to Sail Opti class. The ratio is generally 3 sailors to 1 coach and the sailors are learning how to tack properly and use the tiller extension from the start. This is a full- time, salaried position.

Fill In Sailing Instructor- Texas Corinthian Yacht Club is looking for someone to help sailing classes on weekends, holidays, and busy times throughout the year. We offer windsurfing, 420 sailing, sunfishes, optis, and have a very strong Learn to Sail program. This is an hourly paid position.

The Summer Sailing Program runs Memorial Day Weekend to mid-August, but not all coaches are needed in August. We offer on-site housing for instructors who need it and meals while the clubhouse is open. Pay is competitive and based on experience and years of instruction. Please email solvig.tcyc@gmail.com to apply.
