Job Description
The Woods Hole Yacht Club, in Woods Hole, MA, seeks a seasonal Steward to oversee and manage the operations of the Woods Hole Yacht Club. Reporting to the Commodore of the Yacht Club, the Steward will be the face of the Club ensuring that members and guests are made to feel comfortable and safe in this casual organization focused on boating, sailboat racing and community.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing the operations of a small informal Club and experience around the water and boats. The individual will be an excellent communicator and be able to establish a warm and welcoming environment. They will be able to work well with people of all ages and be a positive face to the community. They will be self-directed and a self-starter and be comfortable taking direction from the Commodore. They will also be able to mentor and manage young adults. They must be well organized and be able to take care of simple accounting and bank deposits.

While we seek a Steward to be at the club for the shoulder seasons of spring and fall, the dates are negotiable. Work will be part-time May and June, full-time July and August, and part-time September and October.

• US Sailing certification.
