Pequot Yacht Club is seeking advanced racing coaches for our Opti, 420 and ILCA (Laser) racing programs. The candidate should have experience competing and coaching at the highest levels of junior and college sailing. Coaches will be responsible for teaching the finer points of boat set up, rigging, boat handling, racing tactics and the racing rules of sailing. Additional instruction in team racing and match racing is also required. Racing coaches will need to be flexible in supporting the full breadth of sailing instruction at Pequot Yacht Club, from beginner and intermediate to advanced.
Pequot Yacht Club is located in Southport Connecticut. Pequot has a long history of providing first class sailing and racing instruction to sailors ages 8-18, and counts many world class sailors as part of its roster of alums. Our program runs for 8 weeks, and offers sailing instruction in Optis, Fevas, ILCA (Laser) and Club 420. Additional instruction is offered in Big Boats and Small Keelboats.
