Job Description

Are you ready for the best summer of your life? Nantucket Yacht Club is hiring a 420 head coach for 2024! This is a ten week position, housing and meals are provided, and pay is extremely competitive for the right individuals. Nantucket is consistently windy, and a fun place to train a junior race team. Read below for details specific to each team:

420: The team travels off-island to compete, and sails a variety of Regional and National level events. We function as part of the All-Island Race program training with Nantucket Community Sailing and Great Harbor YC, so there are multiple coaches and a solid critical mass of boats on the water every day.

Job Requirements

420 Team:

1) Fun and energetic working with kids

2) Preferably minimum 21 Years of Age, though not essential if significant experience racing and coaching

3) Intimate Knowledge of 420 Rigging, Technique, and Tuning

4) Travel Program is similar to traveling with a college team, and requires maturity and responsibility from the individual traveling with the team.

5) US Sailing Level 1 Certification
