PLYMOUTH YACHT CLUB
420 Race Coach
Seasonal position: 8 weeks, Salary $25/hr
(Housing Available next door to Club)
Plymouth Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program located in Plymouth, Massachusetts is seeking a mature, enthusiastic, and motivated 420 Coach for the 2023 summer season. The 420 Coach is responsible for running the Club’s 420 Intro and Race classes, and for traveling to and attending regattas with our Race Team throughout the South Shore, Cape, and South Coast.
The Club’s program will run eight weeks from Monday, June 26th thru Friday, August 18th. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. We can offer flexible hours and commuting incentives. Extra hours are available for teaching Adult Lessons.
Bonus 1: We complimentarily offer the CPR and First aid certification course a week prior to our Program start.
Bonus 2: We will refund 1/2 the fee for your 2023 US Sailing Level 1 or Level 2 course, upon completion of your employment end of season…AND 1/2 if you return to work with us again in 2024.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
* At least 2 seasons of sailing instructing/coaching experience
* Strong and demonstrated dinghy racing experience, particularly in 420s
* Current or former collegiate sailing and/or high school racing is preferred
* US Sailing Level 1 Certification required
* Comfortable with handling small powerboats
* Current CPR/ First Aid Certification
