Job Description
This role splits it’s time between on the water sailing instruction and management duties required to maintain both BYSC & BCSB programs and to enhance the Member experience. This position is full time. Flexibility on hours is helpful as we have weekday and weekend Junior and Adult classes/races in addition to full day Youth programs during the Summer.

 Work with the Regatta Chair in Managing BYSC Racing (Series & Regattas)
 Work with the Regatta Chair in Managing/Organizing BYSC Cruises
 Managing/Organizing adult SOA Boating Safety classes
 Managing BCSB programs (SOA, LTS, HS, College, Race Teams)
 Work with BCSB Chair on Fundraising & Writing Grants
 Managing Employees & Members responsible for boat (BCSB & BYSC) maintenance
 Starting & growing adult sailing
 Work with the Pool Committee Chair in starting & growing a swim team
 Ensuring proper “check-out” of BCSB & BYSC Members, using boats
 Work with BYSC Members (TBD) in Starting and Growing Fishing Tournaments
 Work with the Tennis Committee in Managing/Organizing Racquet Programs
Job Requirements
 Administrative and Interpersonal skills commensurate with a role that will interact with Members, Parents and Students daily.
 Experience teaching basic sailing
 Current First Aid and CPR certifications (instructor preferred)
 Strong demonstrated understanding of sailing and powerboating
 3 – 5 years of Sailing Program Management and/or Coaching/Teaching experience
 US Sailing Small Boat Sailing Instructor Level 1 Certification (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
 SC Safe Boating License or NASBLA Equivalent
