Sail Cape Cod (SCC) is seeking a responsible, reliable sailor to teach in our adult sailing course. The adult sailing instructor will teach students aged 18+ primarily on J/22's and our Fareast 18 sailboat located in Lewis Bay, Hyannis, MA. Lessons are offered from 3-6 on weekdays, starting June 27th through August 26th. Additional hours are also available in our adaptive and youth sailing programs. Our collegial and supportive instructor staff ranges in age from18 to 66, and welcomes everyone with a passion for teaching sailing.
Instructors must be enthusiastic and able to engage students in the fundamentals of sailing as well as the importance of the natural environment, the community in which we sail, and basic leadership & team skills inherent in the sport of sailing.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Hold a current US Sailing level 1 small boat instructor certification (or equivalent) OR be willing to take the course prior to, or during the season.
2. Current first aid and CPR certification.
3. Must have a passion for sailing, and the community.
4. Must have a positive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude.
5. Must possess strong problem solving skills and an ability to adapt to changing program needs depending on weather, number of students, number of boats, etc.
