Job Description
Norfolk Collegiate School is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Sailing Coach to join our nationally recognized sailing program. The program has won several state championships and consistently qualifies for regional and national competitions in the fall and the spring.
This is a full-time Middle and Upper School Spanish teaching position. The teaching responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to Spanish IA/IB through AP Spanish, though experience with higher levels of Spanish is preferred. This position also will involve advising a group of upper school students. A bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Ideal candidates will have teaching experience in a middle and/or upper school setting and a commitment to interdisciplinary approaches to learning. We seek teachers who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching middle and upper school students. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in working with students from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and learning styles. The position requires collaborative work with other faculty and administrators; therefore, this individual must be able to work effectively with colleagues and parents.
