Centerport Yacht Club is located on the North Shore of Long Island and is currently hiring all positions
from beginning Opti instructors to racing coaches. CYC has a rich sailing history with a growing program
of over 80 kids and counting. Our program strives to foster not only a strong racing program but an
experience that produces lifelong sailors. Our Fleet consists of Optis, Lasers, Fevas, c420s, Hobies, and
Ideal 18s.
If you enjoy being on the water and building a strong sailing culture CYC is the right place for you.
Competitive pay based on experience and bonuses for instructors that go above and beyond during the
summer season.
Job Requirements
All instructors must have a US Sailing level 1 and all prerequisites. (NASBLA)

 Safe Sport
 Positive Coaching Alliance
An ideal instructor takes pride in their work. (molding young minds)
Must be comfortable operating chase/ safety boats.
Must be able to maintain a fun and engaging learning environment.
Race coach applicants must have a solid sailing resume or prior experience running a race team.
