City Island Yacht Club is seeking Sailing Instructors for the 2024 summer season. Applicants should be experienced, accomplished sailors who show a continuing interest in improving their sailing skills at all levels.
The mission of our program is to introduce juniors to the sport of sailing, which is not just an isolated skill, but also a way of life that can be enjoyed as a lifelong physical activity. The program will have 18 Optimist, ILCA (Laser), and Club 420 sailors who range from 8 to 16 years of age.
In total, the instructor team at CIYC will consist of three Sailing Instructors with solid personal sailing experience and a knowledgeable Program Director. Each instructor will be working about 40 hours per week, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with optional weekend work available as needed.
