This is a unique opportunity to help a program continue to grow. The Club has made an important commitment and investment in this program, with more news to come, and we could not be more excited to share our plans with outstanding candidates!
This is a summer position, and we encourage applications from committed coaches for all positions at all levels.
Portland Yacht Club is a short drive from the dynamic downtown Portland and has numerous after-work racing opportunities in Etchells, J24's and PHRF. PYC celebrated its 150th anniversary in April 2019. Maine is an incredible place to be in the summer. The Club's facilities provide outstanding water access for Optimist sailing.
We also support foiling and have waszp/moth interest here, and we'd love to see and support our coaches pursue their sailing goals in dinghy sailing.
Classes are structured in 4 separate two-week sessions. PYC’s well-designed curriculum guides coaches while offering opportunity for innovations in instruction. Competitive salaries are offered and based on experience.
We are opening interviews right now and look forward to meeting coaches who share our energy and passion; please don't hesitate to contact us to ask about this program, our goals, and what we have to offer. We want to create our 2025 team as soon as possible with great coaches so we can plan for an awesome summer. We are also planning fall/spring sail training, so there is potential growth oppotunity here, and we will work hard to offer very competitive salaries for great fits in our program. Don't delay in reaching out if you are interested, we'd LOVE to hear from you!
