Conanicut Yacht Club Jr Sailing Program - Join our team for Summer 2025!

Spend your summer in beautiful Jamestown, RI, coaching sailing and be part of an amazing team in one of New England’s most iconic sailing spots.  Conanicut Yacht Club is hiring sailing instructors for this upcoming summer for their Junior Sailing Program. CYC, is a small, private yacht club located in Jamestown, RI positioned on Narragansett Bay across from Newport. The Junior Sailing Program runs from June 23 – August 15 with orientation/setup the week prior and followed by a few days post season/clean up.  We hold learn to sail, recreational, and racing classes for children ages 5-18. Prams, Optimists, club 420s, Quest, Fevas, ILCAs, 29ers, J22s and a variety of recreational boats are used in the program.  

Instructors must be reliable, have strong communication skills, be US Sailing Level 1 certified (or international equivalent or working to take the course ahead of starting), and have a powerboat certificate. Ideal candidates must love to sail, enjoy working with children and be committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational environment.  Positions are full-time, though part-time will be considered. We are hiring a variety of coaches from Beginner/Intermediate, Adventure Sailing, Opti/420 Race positions to 29er. 
 
CYC provides a great work environment with flexibility, competitive pay, and the ability to race just about every evening on the Bay. Lunch is provided daily (except for Mondays). Housing is available for the right candidates.
