Job Description

2022 Optimist and 420 Race Coaches Needed - Edgartown Yacht Club

The Edgartown Yacht Club (EYC) is a private, not for profit, seasonal club founded in 1905, located on the Island of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. The Club has occupied its current waterfront location since 1928 and has a strong sailing tradition and history. The EYC is seeking Optimist and 420 Race Coaches for the summer of 2022. Our program caters to over 200 junior sailors each summer who range from 8 to 18 years of age, with an active and enthusiastic racing team program.

The sailing program is well supported by the club, with a separate waterfront Sailing Center across the harbor on the island of Chappaquiddick where the majority of our junior classes are taught. As an instructor you will be responsible for teaching and assisting in sailing classes. Benefits include meals while on duty, a potential performance bonus at the end of the season, the option to make additional income through private lessons and provided housing for the right applicant. This is an excellent opportunity to spend an incredible summer on Martha's Vineyard! Applicants can apply through Sail1Design or by contacting the Junior Sailing Director, Justin Kane at juniorsailing@edgartownyc.org
