JOB DESCRIPTION
Eastport Yacht Club is hiring a Head Sailing instructor and several Lead instructors for the 2022 Summer Program. EYC is a Learn-to-Sail program which promotes lifelong friendships & boaters who respect and appreciate our environment. Our program builds water confidence, solid foundation skills, environmental awareness and includes STEM/environmental education with progressive, engaging, and fun curriculum.
Our courses offered progress from beginner to advanced in each fleet (ages 5-15), Jr. Big Boat, Bay Cruiser'/Adventure sailing, paddling, and power-boating sessions. EYC’s fleet includes Blue Dragon prams, Sunfish, RS Zests, RS Fevas (with asymmetrical spinnaker), Mistral Windgliders, J22 keelboats, kayaks, and paddleboards; Boston Whalers and RHB Zodiac powerboats. EYC runs a 9-week summer program, Spring/Fall after school, powerboat, adult, J22 team/match race team, and member access program.
The Head Instructor would be in charge of managing on-the-water daily activities, including supervision of various classes and their instructors.
Lead instructors take control of a specific boat class, managing its curriculum, assistant instructors, and overall course progression.
Come join our fun & dedicated team this summer to help create lifelong sailors and friendships
