Job Description

Greenwich Bay Sailing Association is the non-profit junior sailing school of the East Greenwich Yacht Club in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. The Program Director is tasked with leading the organization to live out its mission to make sailing safe, fun, and accessible. The Program Director is primarily responsible for hiring and managing the summer staff, overseeing the day to day operation of the program while in session, and working with the Board to accomplish long and short term goals including but not limited to capital improvement, fleet maintenance, regatta planning, fundraising, and community outreach. The Program Director represents GBSA at meetings of the Narragansett Bay Yachting Association, working with this group to plan a educational and competitive sailing season in the summer. The Program Director also arranges for and oversees the execution of adult sailing programs, private lessons, and fall / spring junior
sailing seasons. This role can be catered to the right candidate, this is primarily a summer role which some time in the off-season, if possible, but not required. Compensation catered to the candidate's experience, scope of work, and overall availability.
Job Requirements
Will cater role to the right candidate. Experience in teaching sailing, organizing regattas, managing coaches a plus.
