Join Olympia Community Sailing’s Team!

OCS is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive, diverse sailing community by providing access, recreation, and competition for all. We offer a variety of programs, classes, and experiences for sailors of all ages and skill levels. We operate out of two facilities, both in the heart of downtown Olympia, Washington with access to Budd Inlet - the terminus of the Puget Sound. With a large fleet of sailing dinghies and keelboats we run a wide variety of programs for youth and adults. Our flagship programs are our youth race teams whom are nationally recognized and competitive across classes and ages.

Our main location is at the Olympia Yacht Club - our largest sponsor. In the heart of downtown it is a fun and active place to work. Surrounded by National Parks, and close to the Ocean, Olympia is an ideal place to live and work for outdoor enthusiasts.

Position Overview:

The Head Race Coach is responsible for running our various youth race teams, with a focus on our ILCA, Opti and c420 programs. Your goal: you set competitive and growth goals, provide structure and high standards. Develop curriculum, use periodization methods and train backwards from desired events to work towards desired outcomes. This position reports to the Executive Director and works in tandem with the Sailing Director.
