Mentor Harbor Yachting Club in Mentor, Ohio is looking for a Head Race Team coach for the 2023 summer season. This is a part time seasonal position that requires the candidate to be at every evening practice (3-4x a week) and every regatta throughout the season. The candidate must be 21+, at least Level 2 certified, and a licensed driver. Towing capacity on their vehicle is preferred. Our program consists of two practice groups, divided by age and experience. The younger, less experienced sailors will practice during the day 9-4 with the Assistant Coach leading practices. The older, more experienced sailors who are instructors during the day will practice with the Head Coach in the evenings. Our program prides itself on being shipshape, having excellent seamanship, and most of all, learning the best sport in the most fun and safe environment. We are looking for someone eager to join a younger but passionate race team and help it achieve its full potential. Pay is negotiable based on resume/experience but starts at $18/hour plus regatta pay.
