Job Description
Christopher Newport University is seeking applicants for the position of Head Sailing Coach to lead our varsity sailing program which competes in the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association. This position is responsible for all aspects of running a competitive sailing program to include but not be limited to: technical instruction, scheduling, coordinating travel needs, recruiting, alumni and donor relations, community outreach, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes and other duties as assigned. This is a part-time position with a stipend only and does not entitle the incumbent to Commonwealth of Virginia benefits.

Job Requirements
Position/Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with coaching or competitive experience in sailing, highly motivated, highly organized and possess the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and occasional overnight travel, ability to care for and maintain a fleet of sailboats, skiffs and zodiacs and perform routine maintenance, as needed. Successful applicants will actively ensure compliance with all Christopher Newport University, MAISA and ICSA rules and regulations.
