Venice Youth Boating Association (VYBA) in Venice, Florida is seeking to hire a full-time Head Coach with a heavy focus on coaching our race teams including the Venice High School sailing team. This position reports directly to our Executive Sailing Director who oversees all aspects of our sailing programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervising and managing coaching staff
- Managing and running weekly race practices- Opti, C420, Laser, High School
- Attending and coaching at regattas
- Generating logistical plans for regattas, scrimmages, and year-round sailing programming
- Managing all fleet maintenance for the program
This is a great opportunity for a sailing coach to establish themselves in the sailing community and working at one of the most unique Sailing clubs on the west coast of Florida.
The Venice Youth Boating Association was established in 1952 with the mission to “Change Young Lives Through Sailing”. We have been doing this ever since. We are located on the beautiful Island of Venice with access to three different Bays and the Gulf of Mexico.
