Job Description

Annapolis Yacht Club is seeking coaches for the upcoming Fall High School sailing season. AYC hosts 7-10 schools each season for both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams with up to 50 sailors per division.
Coaches will be responsible for running daily practices for Varsity and Junior Varsity teams, creating lessons and drills for practices, and overseeing the safety of your group of sailors. Coaches will also travel to regattas on weekends with teams. The majority of regattas are local and are one-day events. District events are typically 2-day events with paid travel and expenses.
Practices will be held Monday - Friday, 3:30 to 6:30. Coaches are expected to arrive at 3:00 to prepare for the day.
Mondays and Fridays are Junior Varsity, Tuesdays/Wednesdays*/Thursdays are Varsity.
*Wednesdays are a mix of both.
You are not expected to coach every day - we can accommodate a schedule of two or three days per week.
To apply for this position, please submit your sailing resume and availability to juniorfleet@annapolisyc.org
