The Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle (CYC) is looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to lead our double-handed high school varsity and junior varsity sailing team. This is a part-time position, suitable for someone who is passionate about sailing and working with high school students.

About our program

Our mission: To instill a lifelong love and respect of sailing while providing the skills necessary for young sailors to advance as far as their desire, skill, and hard work may take them.

Roughly 50 sailors participate in our varsity and JV race teams. Our varsity sailors compete at the national level in both dinghies and keelboats. We have one of the region’s premier sailing locations off Shilshole Bay Marina on Puget Sound. We have an engaged community of parent volunteers.

CYC members include multiple Olympic medalists, national and world champions, Transpac winners, and more.

What you will do

As coach, you will be responsible for planning / running practices and leading the team to compete in local and regional regattas. Other responsibilities include communicating with team members, parents, and school administration, and maintaining equipment and facilities.
