Charleston Community Sailing is seeking qualified sailing instructors to join our extremely popular summer sailing program in Charleston, SC. Summer programs run from the beginning of June through mid-August, and our programs run the range from Guppy sailing all the way to racing programs.
Duties include curriculum development, coaching sailing programs, providing a fun and safe learning environment, and ensuring top-quality sailing programs in all areas. Our fleet consists of 4 safety boats, 13 Zim 420s, 10 Optimists, 4 Open Bics, 2 Lasers, 2 J24s, and one Ensign, and 6 SUPs. Ideal candidates will have prior experience teaching sailing. US Sailing Level 1 or higher required.
Pay is competitive and based on experience, and there are plenty of private lesson opportunities. Charleston Community Sailing is located in downtown Charleston, SC a vibrant southern city with active nightlife, a beautiful harbor and beaches, plenty to do. Charleston is also host to an active sailboat racing scene, with weekly big boat races, and dinghy regattas nearly every weekend. Charleston Community Sailing does not provide housing.
