The Hull Yacht Club Junior Sailing program consists of 3 learn to sail Opti classes and a 420 class. There are morning and afternoon half day programs, with the beginner programs in the morning and the more advanced race and adventure programs in the afternoon. All experienced sailors are encouraged to race in at least one regatta and we participate in at least 3 over the course of the summer. Hull Yacht Club is located in beautiful Hingham bay and has excellent wind and sailing areas for all levels of experience.

HYC is seeking applicants with US Sailing Level 1 Certification (or international equivalent) with strong work ethic, enthusiasm, leadership, and robust sailing knowledge.

Manage Others: Supervise/Mentor Junior Instructors
Experience Required: Prior experience as a Sailing Instructor

Job Requirements
Execute well-structured daily lesson plans that follow the HYC curriculum outline.
Provide on the water lessons that are appropriate for both age and skill level of sailors and conditions.
Provide sailors/families with clear and constructive feedback to help them progress towards their sailing goals.
Operate in a way that promotes the safety of sailors and fellow staff members
Provide mentorship/learning opportunities for Junior Sailing Instructors in a supervised setting.

Reports directly to HYC Junior Sailing Program Director

1+ years of instructing experience as a race coach desired
Level 1 US Sailing certifications
Strong personal dinghy sailing background
Strong understanding of seamanship

Negotiable and commensurate with experience
