COACHING POSITION DETAILS:
Youngstown Community Boating, which operates at the Youngstown Yacht Club is hiring summer sailing coaches. This well established program has about 60 sailors each week ranging from 7-18 year olds. We have an experienced staff of 10 coaches. Fleets include Prams, Opti Green, Opti Race Team, Ideal 18 (Adventure Sail), and 420/Laser Race Team. The daily work schedule is 8:15-4:30 with opportunities to work in the evenings teaching adult sailing, or race in PHRF and one design fleets if desired. The position includes competitive salary with housing provided in beautiful Youngstown, NY. The summer program runs for 7 weeks beginning the last week of June.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be self motivated, responsible, and engaging. Must be able to safely operate a powerboat. Must be able to organize and implement land and water activities that are dynamic, safe, and fun.
US Sailing Level 1 Certification or international equivalent required*
Valid CPR/ First Aid Certification Required*
Valid Driver’s license.
*Full and partial reimbursement available for certification costs
