Job Description
The Noroton Yacht Club was founded in 1946 and established as a one-design sailing club, Noroton continues as a strong leader in the sport while maintaining an emphasis on family sailing.
 NYC is looking to hire passionate, hard-working individuals as sailing coaches who want to work in an environment that emphasizes a balance of fun and professionalism for summer 2023.
 We hold an 8-week program from mid-June to mid-August with approximately 100 sailors. Typical teams/courses offered include:
- Opti Intro
- Opti Intermediate
- Adventure Sailing (structured recreational programming)
- Opti Race Team
- Laser Race Team
-  C420 Race Team
-Offshore training and Navigation Class
If you are looking to get involved with our evening programs, there are coaching opportunities almost every day of the week from team racing programs in Sonars and Ideal 18's to Adult learn to sail.

Job Requirements
All sailing staff members are expected to be responsible, and safety conscious, exhibit strong sailing skills and communicate well with both juniors and adults. All instructors and coaches are required to hold a minimum US Sailing Level 1 certification and a valid CPR/First Aid certification prior to the first day of employment. First aid/CPR refresher course will be provided.
