Junior Sailing Instructor
The Hempstead Harbour Club is looking for a friendly, energetic, and responsible, instructor for its Junior Sailing Program.
The Junior Sailing Program plays an essential role in the history and culture of the Hempstead Harbour Club – a small “laid-back” boat club on the shore of Hempstead Harbour in Glen Cove, New York.
The program has a blend of adventure sailing and regatta participation. The program uses a fleet of Optimists and Fevas, with a few Lasers. Instructors are responsible for providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all sailors.
The Junior Sailing Program operates from 9:30 to 3:30, Monday through Thursday from June 27 to August 11 – with staff responsibilities the week before and after the program. There is also the opportunity to work on Fridays assisting with the racing clinic program.
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience. All candidates must have Safe Powerboat Handling and US Sailing Level 1 or higher certification.
