Junior Sailing Instructors, Summer 2021

Cedar Point Yacht Club (CPYC) is seeking experienced Sailing Instructors for the 2021 summer program (Training Week is June 14-18, Program runs June 21 to August 13). Work alongside 8 other sailing instructors under the guidance of Head Coach, nationally recognized race coach Tino Galán. Founded in 1887, CPYC is located on Long Island Sound in Westport, Connecticut and is a three-time US Sailing One Design Club of the Year. CPYC is a LISOT and USDOA development location and host to the 2021 RS FEVA North American Championship.

Classes focus on boat handling fundamentals, seamanship, and sportsmanship while building towards racing performance and tactical skills needed to compete at the regional level and beyond. Our Jr. Sailing fleets include Opti, Feva, C420, Laser Radial and Laser Standard, as well as a Jr. Big Boat Program. Each instructor teaches a morning Opti class and an afternoon racing class.
