Job Description

The Sailing Education Association of Sheboygan (SEAS) is seeking experienced sailors for a summer position full of variety. SEAS works with a wide range of individuals including high school students, adaptive sailors, and adult students in customizable and dynamic programming. Rarely are two days the same but all enjoy time on beautiful Lake Michigan. We need instructors willing to meet the challenge and excitement of this diversity. To provide these experiences our fleet includes 9 Sonars, multiple powerboats, and a Tartan 4000.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-                 Conduct small group lessons, typically ratio of 4 students to one instructor on our Sonars

-                Support the adaptive sailing staff when needed

-                Crew on the Tartan 4000 for evening cruises

-                Launch, haul, and clean boats

     Support Rental Staff as needed 
Job Requirements
- Keelboats 20-30 feet in length with and without auxiliary propulsion.
- Working with beginner and intermediate sailors, both adults and teenager or comparable experience
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- US Coast Guard licensing and US Sailing Basic Keelboat or Level 1 Small Boat certifications preferred but not required prior to start (US Sailing Training may be provided for highly experienced candidates)
- Current First Aid/CPR
- NASBLA approved boating certificate
- US Powerboating Safe Powerboat Handling Instructor Certification a plus
