Lake Norman Community Sailing (LNCS) is a nonprofit dedicated to making sailing, paddleboarding and kayaking affordable, accessible, and safe on Lake Norman. We just completed our 18th year based at Blythe Landing Park just north of Charlotte. Lake Norman, located in the North Carolina Piedmont, is the largest lake in the state and benefits from exceptionally nice sailing conditions most of the year. LNCS supports about 175 members with a fleet of 60+ crafts. We offer adult and family sailing lessons as well as open sailing in our fleet of 19’ Flying Scots, and 13’ Sunfish. We offer ASA keelboat certification courses in Catalina Capri 22’ boats. We occupy over an acre of beautiful waterfront property on a public park and have a 1200 square foot teaching facility as well as an 800 square foot maintenance facility.  The center currently has trained ASA instructors on contract and support staff.
