Job Summary: (Essential Functions)
The Larchmont Yacht Club is seeking experienced and passionate Sailing Coaches to lead our summer 2025 Junior Sailing Program. Coaches will work with a diverse group of sailors across multiple classes, including Optis, Fevas, C420s, and Lasers. Our program, with a legacy of producing lifelong sailors, engages 230 sailors, 25 Junior Instructors (JIs), and 25 Coaches. Coaches will be responsible for instructing sailors of various skill levels, supervising on-water activities, and collaborating with fellow coaches on curriculum development to foster skill advancement and sportsmanship.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a large program with opportunities for private coaching and leadership roles. Coaches can participate in Z420 Team Racing events and weekly practices as part of their own skill development. Successful applicants will report to the Sailing Director and be required to attend instructor week, Junior Commissioning, and all Larchmont Yacht Club Junior Race Week events.
Compensation:
Compensation is based on experience and includes an hourly salary, private lesson opportunities, and overtime pay.
Pay range: $18.50 to $26.50 per hour.
