Job Description
The Wellesley College Club Sailing team is looking for a head coach. Wellesley College is a historically women’s college located outside of Boston in Wellesley, MA. Practices are conducted with the Olin College sailing team, as well as students from Babson College. The team is currently classified as a fundamental team within NEISA, and will be attending in-conference regional level regattas. The right coach will be able to train new sailors, but also further existing sailors’ skills.

Practices are held 2-3 weeknights at the Butler Boathouse on Lake Waban, located on Wellesley College’s campus. The fleet includes Catalina 14.2s and FJs. Regattas are usually on weekends, typically Saturdays but occasionally Sundays as well. As of Fall 2019 (our last active season) the team had over 20 student athletes on the roster, and similar participation levels are expected for this fall.

The position is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible appointment in the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Club Coach reports to Director of Recreation. The salary is $3,000 for the season. A CORI and SORI background check is required for all college hires. For more information, please contact
