Bitter End Yacht Club is Growing
Position Overview: This is a strategic  and entrepreneurial role with Bitter End Yacht Club and Bitter End’s lifestyle brand, Bitter End Provisions working in the stateside office in Connecticut with flexible remote work.
We are seeking an uber creative, savvy Marketing Manager who shares a passion for the sea, sailing, watersports and the Caribbean lifestyle. This role will touch all aspects of our business—from media placement to social media, customer service, retail, e-commerce logistics, hospitality sales and day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team for an iconic brand with opportunity to grow with the company. The role’s primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support within the marketing, hospitality sales and e-commerce department
  • Interface with customers via chat app, email and phone inquiries
  • Own administration and trafficking of marketing calendar and collaborate with creative team to execute online marketing programs, e-marketing and promotions.
  • Work with external agencies and internal team on creative campaign implementation across platforms
  • Manage the content calendar for the two brands
  • Manage website updates including addition of new products and descriptions to the website
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategy, promotions and product development
  • Oversee the brand ambassador and influencer campaigns for Bitter End Yacht Club
  • Partner with creative team on creative assets required for website and promotional collateral
  • Develop digital, email and print ads and create email-blasts for our brands
  • Manage products on ecommerce site including new product creation/maintenance, copywriting/editing, and photo-shoot coordination
  • Inventory and SKU management and tracking. Work closely to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained at all times, order triggers and shipments are managed
  • Provide suggestions for enhancement to the user journey and on-site experience
  • Continuously work with the team to monitor and test the website to identify any issues and work closely with the development agency’s support team to rectify as quickly as possible with minimal impact to the customer experience
  • Coordinate and maintain marketing and content libraries
  • Proficient at proof reading and supporting day-to-day copywriting needs
  • Manage all imagery for the website to ensure brand guidelines are adhered to
  • Conduct research for product development via competitive analysis and industry discover
What we are looking for:
  • A Marketing generalist who understands strategy for omni-channel marketing campaigns
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and e-commerce or other relative industry
  • Strong knowledge of e-mail, display and social advertising, google analytics and marketing strategy
  • Excellent networking skills and the ability to act as an ambassador who can exemplify the brand image at all times
  • Understands best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Creative skills for day-to-day copy and simple design needs
  • Outstanding time management skills and the ability to supervise multiple projects
  • A critical thinker who can propose ideas, challenge status quo and drive initiatives
  • Excellent communicator—both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently
  • Meticulous attention to detail, hyper-organized and high-performing individual
  • Graphic Design Skills -Adobe Creative Suite knowledge preferred
