Job Description

This job is at Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club, located on scenic Meydenbauer Bay on the east side of Lake Washington in the Greater Seattle area, specifically in Bellevue, WA.

Our Program, MBYC Youth Sailing, was created by MBYC sailor members, who had a desire to teach young kids how to sail and hopefully move on to become future instructors and competitive sailors. Our first classes began in 1996 with 6 Optis, 1 tender, and 1 instructor. Today, in 2023, our 28th season, we have 27 sailboats, 6 tenders, and up to 25 instructors during our Summer training and race classes and our Spring and Fall Race Team and Developmental Race Classes.

Our membership fully supports our Program and we are managed by volunteer Chairs. We are financially viable and are supported by our registration fees without the need for fundraising. We are able to upgrade our boats in order to maintain a first class fleet.

This job is full time during the Summer, June through August, and part time for our race team and classes, April through May, and September through October.
