Job Description
Nashville Sail Camp is seeking an experienced Camp Director to grow our camp. 
The Camp Director is the master of fun, the champion of safety, the ultimate friend-maker and the boat guru! The director will provide overall supervision, leadership and management for all aspects of Sail Camp operations including camper recruitment, sailing instruction, program management, equipment care, camper and staff supervision, and customer service. Under the direction of the CEO, the Camp Director ensures the safe delivery of sailing instruction, fun and engaging camp programs, safe and properly working equipment, high quality customer service and excellent organizational management of daily camp operations for up to 60 campers ages 7-17, a teen leadership development program for up to 30 participants and a staff team of 15 instructors and counselors. Leadership Academy’s Nashville Sail Camp runs a 12-week season in Nashville, TN, late May through the first week of August which includes a camp preparation week, a full week of staff training and equipment moving and storage at the end of the season. Our sailing fleet includes Opti, Sunfish, Vanguard 15s and 3 chase boats.
Spend your summer in an awesome, fun city while having flexibility to travel, sail and work during the school year.  This job is a year round hybrid position, with remote-part-time work during September-April with 15-25 hours per week, AND Full Time on site in Nashville, TN from May-August with expected 42-52 hours per week. Hourly Rate range is $19-22/hour, plus time and half for overtime for an estimated annual salary ranging from $28,000-$32,000. Housing is not included, however there is a small stipend to support out of town staff for the summer season. 

Job Requirements
2-3 years of experience teaching sailing or at least two seasons of Jr Sailing or camp experience, supervisory level preferred.
Knowledge of safe boating practices and considerable sailing and motor boating experience.
Candidates must possess excellent communication, organization, and mediation skills. Individuals should be enthusiastic, diplomatic, flexible, trustworthy, self-motivated, creative, and able to take the initiative and follow through.
Current US Sailing Level 1 Instructor (or equivalent). Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be proficient in computer skills and related word processing, data management, and Internet computer software including social networking sites.

Physical Requirements:
This position would require the ability to listen to others, observe others’ actions, read text and information; comprehend instructions and manuals, and physical ability to move about the camp property in various environmental conditions including crawling, crouching and lifting 50 lbs.
