About Us
Situated along the west bank of the scenic Hudson River, just north of the Mario Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge and south of Hook Mountain, the Nyack Boat Club (NBC) is a member-owned and operated club with a 100-year history of getting people out on the water. The Club's mission has always been to encourage and support recreational boating and sailing on the Hudson River and surrounding waters, all while promoting good seamanship and helping members improve their sailing and navigation skills in a spirit of cooperation, friendship, and camaraderie. Both sailors and non-sailors are welcome at the club; the only requirement is the enjoyment and appreciation of our proximity and access to the Hudson River.
With about 250 regular members and 70 seasonal members, the club offers moorings, dry sail facilities, as well as a wide variety of sailing programs for adults and children on club-owned boats. The club has no permanent staff, but hires sailing program staff and launch tender captains for its season, which runs from May through October.
