The Carolina Yacht Club in Charleston, SC. is looking to hire an Optimist Green Fleet
Coach for a year-round position. Our Optimist program has developed rapidly this past
year under the direction of our Head Coach, Alex Zimmermann. Our program needs a
dedicated Green Fleet Coach who will work closely with Alex to develop world class
Optimist sailors. Our Green Fleet Coach will be responsible for all aspects of Green
Fleet development and team management, including weekly training, regatta coaching
at major USODA events, communicating with parents, and working with our beginner level
coaches to make sure that sailors are properly prepared for Green Fleet. This is a
wonderful opportunity to relocate to an amazing city with excellent year-round
sailing conditions, and to work alongside one of the best Optimist coaches in the
